Crews rescue woman trapped in home following collision

We have rescued a woman who was trapped under a collapsed wall after a van collided with a home in Stoke-on-Trent.

Crews from Longton and Newcastle were sent to an address near Pacific Road, Trentham, shortly after 2.40am yesterday (19 November), following reports of a collision.

A wall at the home had collapsed after a van collided with it.

Crews worked quickly to make the building safe and rescue two women from inside. One of them was trapped underneath the collapsed wall.

They were both left in the care of paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. We stayed at the scene to make sure the building was left safe.

Our colleagues from Staffordshire Police are investigating what happened.
