Crews respond to industrial fire in Tamworth

Firefighters responded to reports of a factory fire on Lichfield Road Industrial Estate, Tamworth, last night (Tuesday 11 January).

Crews from Tamworth and Tamworth Mercia attended the scene at 10.55pm and located a skip which was well-alight.

The fire was within close proximity to high voltage electrics – where crews worked to make the area safe as quickly as possible.

One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the skip at 11.25pm.

No-one was injured.

Crews ensured the area was safe before departing at 12am.
